Jamal Murray’s girlfriend feeling pain of NBA bubble separation.
Harper Hempel celebrated her 24th birthday on Sunday sans her special someone.
Taking to her Instagram story on Tuesday, Hempel — the girlfriend of Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray — posted a video of a stunning floral arrangement as the song “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” played in the background. She also posted a sad-face emoji to accompany the post.
Murray, 23, currently stationed in the NBA’s Orlando bubble, helped lead the Nuggets to an 80-78 win over the Utah Jazz. Denver now advances to the second round of the NBA playoffs, where they’ll face the Los Angeles Clippers.
Murray has seem poised to make the leap to superstardom this postseason, scoring 50, 42 and 50 points in Games 4, 5 and 6, respectively, of their series against Utah.
It remains to be seen if Hempel will make her way to the Happiest Place on Earth, as guests of NBA players have since been allowed to enter the bubble after adhering to quarantine protocols.
Murray, who was drafted by the Nuggets in 2016, found himself in the headlines earlier this year after Hempel made a Twitter plea in the wake of an alleged sex tape leak.
If you have the video please delete it,” she wrote at the time, referring to a graphic video that surfaced.
Murray later apologized to fans, claiming he had been hacked.
“First and foremost I would like to apologize to my fans. My account has been hacked, currently working on the issue. Thanks,” Murray wrote.
