Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season brought fans a battle between the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

After Dallas scored the first three points of the game, the Lions completely took over, scoring 27 unanswered points to take a 24-point lead.

With just under 12 minutes remaining in the third quarter, Detroit held a 34-6 lead and were feeling great about themselves. Then, tragedy struck.

As Lions star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson was bringing down Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott for a second-down sack, he collided with his own teammate, and his leg appeared to snap.

Hutchinson stayed down in pain for some time and was carted off the field and back to the locker room.

slow-motion video of the injury has surfaced online, with the angle coming from the backside of the play. In the video, you can clearly see Hutchinson's leg bend very awkwardly, showing all the signs of a clean break.
