The police have announced that bullet casings have been found on the Herenoord, near the Reyerdijk, where a Rotterdam resident was shot on 21 December. He later died of his injuries. It is still unclear whether the discovery of bullet casings is related to the shootings. Dozens of officers are on site for the investigation.
Exceptional call
The police acknowledge that the call to stay indoors as much as possible is exceptional. The investigative services assume that one shooter is responsible for the three shootings. "We have not found any reason at all why these three men were chosen. It is possible that it is arbitrary."
A new photo of the suspect has been released. Contrary to what the police previously reported, the man does not have a light but a dark skin color. A reward of 30,000 euros has been offered for the golden tip that leads to his arrest.
